President Mustafa Akinci attended the opening of the 14th Annual Strawberry Festival in Yeşilırmak last night.
The President accompanied by his wife Meral, in his opening speech, thanked the people of Yeşilırmak for their warm hospitality. He said that this was another year for beautiful strawberries and noted that the abundant rainfall had contributed to the production of the strawberries.
The festival, which has been sponsored by the European University of Lefke and the Municipality of Lefke, will run for six days.
