A firmly established event of the International Turkish Culture Organisation’s (TURKSOY), “17th TURKSOY Opera Days” is taking place between the 14th-26th September 2014, respectively in Istanbul, Bursa, Ayvalık, Marmaris, Odemis towns in Turkey and then North Cyprus.
As every year the organisation’s last concert takes place with the collaboration of the Deputy Prime Minister, the Turkish Cypriot Ministry of Economy, Tourism, Culture and Sports, the Culture and Tourism Ministry of Turkey and TURKSOY, on the 26th September 2014 Friday at Bellapais Monastery Concert Hall.
15 opera singers who are performers of TURKSOY are attending the 17th TURKSOY Opera Days organisation which is
being organised in commemoration of renowned Opera singer Leyla Gencer.
Soprano Laden Ince (R) who was born in Kizilbas, Nicosia will be representing North Cyprus in coordination with the Culture Department.
The “Opera Days” traditionally held by TURKSOY every year as an internationl organisation has been carrying out many national and international projects since its foundation to foster cultural and artistic cooperation among Turkic peoples.
