The “1st Karpaz Tourism Festival” was opened with a ceremony, yesterday, by Karpaz Vocational High School (CML) and organized by the Department of Tourism
The three-day festival was organised to advertise the Karpaz region and comprises various cultural, sporting and artistic activities, as well as concerts and children’s activities.
The Minister of National Education and Culture, Mutlu Atasayan and Nazim Cavusoglu, the Minister of the Interior and Local Governments, academics and other notables attended the opening ceremony.
The festival aims to promote tourism in the Karpaz region and includes the sale of handicrafts unique to Cyprus, regional foods and desserts.
