Tanker Runs Aground Near Famagusta Port

As rain and storms lashed the country, a commercial tanker ran aground on the shores near Famagusta Harbour. The Tanzanian-flagged vessel ‘Rawan’ had been lying off Famagusta Port for a year with six crew aboard. Reportedly there has been a legal issue in court regarding permission to enter the harbour.
