22nd World Petroleum Congress opens in Istanbul

The 22nd World Petroleum Congress has opened in Turkey.

The congress titled ‘Bridges to our Energy Future’ is taking place at the Istanbul Congress Centre and will continue until July 13.

The five-day congress in Istanbul was organised by the Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak.

TRNC Minister for Economy and Energy Sunat Atun is taking part in the congress. He is being accompanied by his undersecretary Emin Bilgen, Private Secretary Hurşide Baybora, President of the Board of Directors of Kıb-Tek Hasan Çetin Erçen and Kıb-Tek Director Gürcan Erdoğan.

Close to a hundred different sessions will take place throughout the congress to discuss the global petroleum sector, the future of petrol and natural gas resources, exploration and production of oil and gas, refining transportation and petrochemistry, transportation and markets and sustainable management of industry.
