The 4 day 26th Eastern Mediterranean Yacht Rally was celebrated at Karpaz Gate Marina with a cocktail party last night.
Turkish Cypriot President Mustafa Akinci and Turkish Cypriot negotiator Ozdil Nami were amongst those who attended the event.
Akinci, in a statement, said that he will be evaluating a request by those taking part in the yacht rally to sail around the island freely. “As and when the Cyprus problem is solved, a large number of problems appearing to be unsolvable will be solved. But the important thing is to solve these problems before a settlement”, he said.
