Aircraft Manufacturer to Visit Gecitkale Crash Site

The chairman of the Air Sports Federation Zeki Ziya, has stated that he had contacted the Italian company ICP, manufacturer of the Ventura aircraft which crashed recently near the runway at Gecitkale Airport. Company officials are expected to visit North Cyprus to view the wreckage. Two pilots died in the crash.

A detailed statement would be issued after the investigations are completed, Ziya said.

Funeral services have been held for the two pilots who died in the crash. Serkan Ozcezarli was buried in Cihangir village, in the district of Nicosia and Hakan Cetinkaya in his home town, Afyonkarahisar in Turkey.
