President Mustafa Akinci will be departing for New York on Monday, 23 September to hold a series of meetings within the framework of the UN General Assembly.
Akinci will be meeting with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the side-lines of the UN General Assembly as part of efforts to finalise the terms of reference which will pave the way for the resumption of talks aimed at reaching a solution to the Cyprus problem.
The date of the meeting has yet to be announced.
Akinci will be accompanied by his special representative Erhan Ercin, his spokesman Barrs Burcu and his private secretary Cenk Gurcag.
President Akinci and his accompanying delegation are expected to return on October.
