Mustafa Akinci met with the former chairman of the civil defence organization, Fatih Yarimbas (centre) and the newly appointed chairman, Erdogan Celebi (far left) on Thursday, to discuss the preparatory work required by the state, in case of possible disaster events.
At the meeting, Akinci stressed the need to get prepared in order to be ready to confront a potentially serious civil emergency in the country and underlined that “the biggest disaster derives from inadequate preparation”.
Stressing the important role of the civil defence organisation in emergency cases, Akinci stated that he would give his support the organisation.
