Akinci send his condolences for the 22 lives lost in Manchester

President Mustafa Akıncı expressed his condolences to the British people following the bomb attack on Manchester Arena.

The explosion, which was the result of a terrorist attack, claimed the lives of 22 people and injured 59 others.

Akıncı emphasised that he and the Turkish Cypriot people shared the suffering of the British people.

President Akıncı’s message reads as follows:

“We deeply regret the explosion at the concert in Manchester city in England where 22 people lost their lives and injured 59 people. We wholeheartedly share the great pain of the British people.

Terrorist incidents that occur in Manchester or elsewhere in the world are unacceptable. The loss of 22 innocent people has caused deep sorrow personally and for the Turkish Cypriot people.

A decisive and consistent struggle, on an international scale, against terrorism, is crucial”.
