Police investigations into alleged fraud by Vakkas Altınbaş, Mehmet Altınbaş and three other suspects have been completed.
The police have asked for appropriate security to keep the suspects inside the TRNC.
Vakkas Altinbas, Mehmet Altinbas, Refet Uzun, Kemal Yorgancioglu, Ahmet Bayraktar were released on bail pending trial at a future date.
Prosecuting lawyers demanded collateral and a ban on suspects going abroad.
Judge Meltem Dundar banned the suspects from leaving the country and ordered bail of 400,000 TL each for Vakkas Altinbas and Ahmet Bayraktar and ordered them to sign in with police once a week. Meanwhile, Mehmet Altınbaş, Refet Uzun and Kemal Yorgancıoğlu were released on bail of 200,000 TL each, they were also banned from leaving the TRNC and ordered to sign in at a police station, weekly.
Vakkas Altınbaş has maintained that his family has been subjected to a conspiracy and that the remaining checks for the purchase of 18 high-end properties in Kyrenia at a cost of over 7 million TL, had been cancelled because they had not been given the title deeds. This has been going on for two years, he told the press after the hearing.
