Greek Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades is expected to be discharged from Mount Sinai hospital in New York on Sunday, ‘Cyprus Mail’ reports.
The South Cyprus government spokesman Nicos Christodoulides, speaking to CyBC, said Anastasiades was in good health and once discharged from hospital would remain at his hotel for seven to ten days to recuperate, before flying home.
The President underwent open heart surgery to repair the mitral valve over a week ago. He is expected to meet with US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland at his hotel this Tuesday.
