Aydin Denktaş (86), widow of the late founding President Rauf Denktaş, has been readmitted to the intensive care unit at Lefkoşa State Hospital.
Mrs Denktaş, who was initially admitted to the intensive care unit at the hospital on 2 January, suffering from pneumonia, has not left the hospital since that date.

Her condition had improved and she was moved onto the chest infections ward, however, she was readmitted into intensive care after her blood pressure dropped suddenly.
Mrs. Denktaş’s condition remains critical, Deputy Chief Physician Dr. Adil Ozikan has said.
