A violent brawl between two groups of youths took place in Famagusta on January 10th.
There was a rematch on March 10th in the Sakarya area of Famagusta. During this fight, knives and crowbars were used.
Police have already arrested 8 youths and are searching for a further 6 who were involved.
The suspects appeared at Famagusta Criminal Court yesterday. Police testified that were over a dozen people involved in the fighting that began around 5.30 pm.
Security cameras are being analysed and the police requested that the suspects be detained for 3 days while they investigate and that the remaining youths be located.
