The Ministry of Tourism is calling on citizens, councils and NGO’s to join in with its efforts to clean up the TRNC beaches. The campaign will start at Akdeniz on Sunday July 7th at 6pm.
Minister for Tourism, Mehmet Harmanci has called on all citizens to join in and to also contribute ideas on how to keep the beaches clean. He also pointed out that there was a telephone number (123) to register complaints regarding beach pollution. The Ministry’s Facebook and Twitter websites can also be used for the same purpose.
Mr Harmanci said, “we love this island that we live on. Let us maintain it for future generations”.
