A bi-communal seminar on domestic violence prevention will take place in May in Nicosia.
A joint statement by the bi-communal technical committees on crime, criminal and humanitarian matters says that within its mandate and sharing concerns about the social problem of domestic violence, the two committees are jointly organising a bi-communal seminar at Ledra Palace Hotel on 20th May 2015. The seminar, which is supported by the UN, will focus on the needs of the victim, the statement said.
Speakers from both communities will outline the nature and extent of the problem in Cyprus and suggest effective ways to help prevent domestic violence.
