The body of a woman has been discovered close to the Ercan Airport-Gaziköy road. Her badly decayed body, which was wrapped in a blanket, was believed to have been kept elsewhere and then recently dumped near the roadside.
An autopsy will be performed to try and ascertain how she died and to try and identify her.
It is thought that she might be Vietnamese national, Dam Thi Hop, who has been missing since October 15, 2017. She had been babysitting that evening and was not heard from again after she left the house, reports say.
