The Corner House Bar and Restaurant held their “Burger Off to Cancer” event on the 10th August with all proceeds from the burger eating competition, raffle, horse racing and guess the sweets in the jar competition going to Tulips.
All the sponsorship for the burger eating competition and all other fund raising activities on the day raised a staggering 4,000TL. They thought they would do very well to raise 2,000TL so to double that figure was a true delight for them.
Today Tulips picked up the cash from Harriett and Kelsey (and baby Amelia), who both had worked tirelessly in preparation of the event and also on the night and presented them with a plaque from the Association in appreciation of all their efforts.
Tulips would like to say ‘thank you again’ to all who took part, and how much they value the support and enthusiasm they get from these people and others like them in helping them to raise the much needed funds to keep Help Those With Cancer Association supporting the community with Cancer issues.
