Famagusta Municipality has announced that they have been unable to supply water to the Famagusta region because of a burst water main on the Guzelyurt-Famagusta pipeline.
In a statement from the local council, the pipe line which comes under the authority of the TRNC Water Works Department will be looked at tomorrow; the damage is believed to be on the Serhatkoy junction and in case repairs are not finished, the council has asked the public to use water sparingly.
The Famagusta Municipality said that depending on the situation, water will be supplied on rotation and they will also distribute water to farming areas from the Seawater Irrigation Facility.
