A pipe has burst in the Iskele region, flooding the Iskele – Famagusta main road, Yeniduzen reports.
Videos have been circulating on social media showing that the road was flooded. Meanwhile, police teams have closed the road to traffic, and work vehicles are trying to clean up the road.
Sharing the footage, CTP İskele District President Hüseyin Öztörel commented, “As a result of unplanned construction, there is a lack of foresight in infrastructure and its inadequacy“. Öztörel asked, “A pipe bursts, the main road closes. Where is this water coming from? Is there anyone or any official institution making a statement?“
