Careless Driver Hits Two Pedestrians

Two pedestrians were hit by a careless motorist last night in Nicosia, Kibris Postasi reports.

The accident took place on Şehit Mustafa Ahmet Ruso Street, when a saloon car driven by Şifa Sayman (51), was heading south. As it approached Atlar Market, it struck 50-year-old Emine Ödük, and Mehmetali Tülegen, age 15, who were crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing. The accident occurred due to negligence.

The injured pedestrians were rushed to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital. Mehmetali Tülegen was found to have a fracture in his right leg. After receiving treatment, both pedestrians were discharged from the hospital.
