Turkish Cypriot Public Servants’ Trade Union (KTAMS) took to the streets on Tuesday, demanding a cost of living rise as long as the economic crisis continues.
The strike began at 9am and the members of KTAMS marched to the assembly building to submit their proposals including those to protect minimum wages, to the government and the representatives of the opposition parties.
The customs workers’ union GUC-SEN announced that it supports KTAMS strike and called on the people to attend Tuesday’s march.
