The committee which was formed to prepare the way for the Maronites to return to their former villages met at the Attorney General’s office.
They met to discuss all aspects of the legal framework required to enable Maronites who live in South Cyprus to return to their former villages in the TRNC.
The current situation was evaluated and decisions about the next steps to be taken, were made.
Moreover, during the meeting, the technical work which is under way for the return of the Maronites and the required planning budget to prepared the infrastructure for the return of the Maronites was discussed further.
