The tomb of the late Turkish Cypriot leader Dr. Fazıl Küçük located at Anıttepe overlooking the capital Lefkoşa is to undergo renovation work.
The Ministry of Interior signed a contract with the company that was awarded the tender for the restoration project.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Minister of Interior Kutlu Evren expressed his happiness regarding the commencement of the renovation project for the tomb of the leader of the Turkish Cypriot peoples’ struggle for existence Dr. Fazıl Küçük.
He said that the late Dr. Küçük had dedicated his life to the struggle and existence of the Turkish Cypriot people in Cyprus.
Evren also wished the company which won the tender, Destebaşı Construction Ltd and the people of the TRNC all the best.
The restoration project, which will cost 5.3 million TL, is expected to be completed in three months.
