Tourism numbers for the TRNC have fallen because a shortage of transportation, Minister for Tourism Unal Ustel has said.
He added that his ministry will have meetings in Turkey to increase charter flight destinations and to reduce airport taxes. Ustel said that after Bayram, promoting tourism in North Cyprus will be intensified using social media, by participating in tourism fairs and other events.
The tourism minister said that the goal is to attract 2 million tourists and 2 billion dollars in revenues for 2020.
Additionally, ‘Kibris’ newspaper reports that the government is offering tax relief to foreign investors in the tourism sector.
