Police have reported that a stash of counterfeit 50-euro notes were found during an operation yesterday in Famagusta. Although the details in the report are scarce police says that the notes are thought to have been brought across from south Cyprus, ‘Kibris Postasi’ reports.
In the police report the serial numbers on the counterfeit notes are listed as:
X61121823806, X72642366497, X82505410697, X69516666983, Z37896453873 and S39948772336.
Police warned banks, shops, exchange offices and anyone who uses 50-euro notes to be cautious.
