A five-vehicle pile-up on the Kyrenia-Nicosia main road cause long tailbacks on Saturday afternoon.
Three people sustained serious injuries while a number of others had minor injuries. The injured were taken to hospital where they were confirmed to be in a stable condition.
The incident caused a serious traffic jam on the road leading to Kyrenia.
