Cypriot Presidents meet today

President Nicos Anastasiades and President Derviş Eroğlu are meeting on today to discuss how the ongoing talks will proceed and Confidence Building Measures (CBMs), ‘Cyprus Mail’ reports.

The meeting began at 10 am today in the UN Protected Area in Nicosia. Before the meeting, which is being hosted by UNSG Special Representative in Cyprus Lisa Buttenheim began, both leaders visited the anthropological laboratory of the Committee on Missing Persons (CMP).

Anastasiades said on Wednesday that the Turkish side must cooperate, in goodwill and sincerity, towards the determination of the fate of missing persons, adding that he would be visiting the laboratory, along with Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu, “to see the work that is being done there and the problems there are regarding the identification of our missing persons.”
