A further meeting between the two negotiators in the Cyprus talks began this morning at 11am in the UN buffer zone.
Attending the meeting with Greek Cypriot negotiator Andreas Mavroyiannis and Turkish Cypriot negotiator Kudret Ozersay was UN senior adviser Wlodek Cibor.
During their meeting last Tuesday at the UN buffer zone in Nicosia, the two negotiators agreed in principle that a meeting of the two leaders, Cyprus President Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot President Eroglou, would take place towards the end of March.
The UN had also said that Mavroyiannis and Ozersay had held substantive discussions on issues connected to different chapters.
Talks resumed after the leaders of the island’s two communities had agreed on a seven-point Joint Declaration outlining their vision of a reunified Cyprus.
