President Mustafa Akinci and President Nicos Anastasiades will meet next week for the first time and not Saturday as was previously announced.
Greek Cypriot government spokesman Nicos Christodoulides said details would be made public later on.
On Tuesday, Christodoulides said that following a phone call between the two leaders, Anastasiades and Akinci had agreed to meet on Saturday.
However, Akinci’s office later said they had agreed to meet but no date, time, or place had been set.
Akinci was elected on Sunday following a landslide victory over Dervis Eroglu.
The two leaders will discuss resumption of reunification talks which were suspended in October 2014.
UN Special Adviser on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide will arrive in Cyprus on Monday for meetings with Anastasiades and Akinci.
