A strategic agreement for the provision of helicopter support services has been signed between Cyprus Airways and PHI Air Europe Ltd, one of the main operators worldwide providing support services to natural gas and oil rigs, ‘Famagusta Gazette’ reports.
According to a press release, the helicopters will be flying in Cyprus’ EEZ and the Eastern Mediterranean.
The agreement includes the use of Cyprus Airways facilities and services in mechanics and maintenance, and will be expanded in the future to cover other sectors.
PHI Air Europe Ltd is part of PHI Helicopters Inc., based in the USA, which chose Cyprus to set up is headquarters for Europe.
