Despite the downturn in the North Cyprus economy, it’s not all doom and gloom. In celebration of 25 years of the Society for the Protection of Turtles (Spot), the Cyprus Carreeta Festival will feature live music, daytime activities and competitions at Ayios Philon beach, open-air cinema and stands. Additionally, festival goers will be able to watch turtle hatchlings entering the sea.
The free-entry festival is organised by Spot and Fractal Folks, in collaboration with Dipkarpaz Municipality, and runs on Thursday and Friday at the Dipkarpaz Municipality Festival Area. Camping is available at the Karpaz Wooden Houses. For more information call 0533 865 2427.
