The Cyprus Dialogue Forum held a press conference at the Chateau Status restaurant in the UN buffer zone on Thursday.
The bi-communal forum comprising MPs, unions, business representatives and civil society organisations was formed with the aim of establishing a common language and constructive dialogue so that information can be shared across the board.
Negotiation teams led by Turkish Cypriot negotiator Ergun Olgun and Greek Cypriot negotiator Andreas Mavroyannis, several political party representatives, business people and unionists were present at the press conference. The joint declaration was read out in Turkish, Greek and English.
A jointly-produced booklet covering the results of meetings over the last year was distributed.
