Cyprus negotiators continue talks today

Turkish Cypriot negotiator Kudret Özersay and Greek Cypriot negotiator Andreas Mavroyiannis will be meeting today to continue the next phase of substantive negotiations on the Cyprus problem.

The negotiators will meet at the UN building in the buffer-zone at 10 am to resume talks on property and foreign relations issues.

During their previous meeting that took place on 20th May, the two negotiators presented additional proposals on property issues and they also discussed the foreign relations issue.

After their previous meeting, Özersay had said that the Greek Cypriot side presented a paper on federal executive issues which they had no chance to discuss at that time. “So most probably we will discuss “federal executive” issues together with the issue of federal authorities during the next meeting (today)” Özersay had said after their previous meeting.

Presidents Eroğlu and Anastasiades are scheduled to meet on Monday, 2nd June.
