Cyprus negotiators resume their meetings on Tuesday

Chief negotiators in the Cyprus talks, Andreas Mavroyiannis and Kudret Ozersay will resume their meetings after the summer break on Tuesday, ‘Cyprus Mail’ reports.

According to CNA, the two negotiators will be preparing for a meeting between the two leaders, Greek Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot President Dervis Eroglu, on 2nd September.

“This is the first meeting after the summer vacation and it will most likely deal with procedural issues,” sources said.

They also said that it what not yet known when the new UN Secretary General’s Special Adviser on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide would assume his duties or when he would visit Cyprus.

The last meeting between the two presidents took place on 24th July.
