Davutoglu wants to visit Cyprus with Tsipras

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu (R) wants to visit Cyprus with Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras (L), government spokesman Nicos Christodoulides said on Wednesday.

Davutoglu proposed the idea to Greece, but Tsipras responded: “Let’s first solve the Cyprus problem and then we can visit Cyprus”, according to the spokesman.

The Greek government notified South Cyprus on Wednesday afternoon about the exchange.

Christodoulides called on Turkey to give up on its statements and communication tactics and instead take concrete actions to prove it is sincere in its public statements about wanting to solve the Cyprus problem
