Rainy weather continues throughout the country. In some areas, heavy fog became a driving hazard along with heavy rainfall in the early hours of the morning.
Police warned this morning that visibility on the Kyrenia-Değirmenlik mountain has been reduced in some places due to the fog especially at the summit. Drivers who use this route should reduce their speed and drive with care.
10.55 : Due to torrential rainfall rain water debris is being washed onto the road on Iskele – Ardahan Highway and Kaplica – Buyukkonuk Highway between Iskele – Karpaz Highway, Bahcesler and Tuzluca intersections. Drivers who use these routes should be careful and keep their speeds down.
Update: The Ministry of Public Works and Transportation announced that the Değirmenlik-Çatalköy road (Dağyolu), which is currently under repair, will be closed to traffic between 22:00 and 07:00 tomorrow night as a precautionary measure for traffic and road safety.
