A man was found guilty of selling drugs by Famagusta Court yesterday.
Efgani Donmez was arrested by police in October 2012 when he was observed selling synthetic cannabis to to two individuals.
During court proceedings it was revealed that he had been arrested for a similar charge in 2005 and received a 2 month jail sentence for that crime.
The judge was unimpressed by the defending lawyer’s plea that Donmez was deeply sorry for his actions. Judge Aysen Toroslu said that these types of drugs were even being sold to children and that the public needed to be protected from them.
