A man lost control of his car and crashed, at speed, into the back of a parked water tanker, late last night in Lapta.
The driver of the car, Sahi Kaba was immediately taken to Girne State hospital where he is in critical condition with multiple broken ribs.
Police are investigating but it is claimed Mr Kaba was well over the alcohol limit.
