UN Secretary-General Special Advisor to Cyprus Espen Barth Eide will brief the UN Security Council later on today, about the latest developments in the Cyprus negotiations.
Eide, who will be accompanied by the Head of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) Elizabeth Spehar, will be talking about the latest developments following the recent Cyprus Conference Cyprus in Geneva and how matters stand since the conference.
Both Eide and Spehar are expected to face questions from members of the UNSC while the council is also expected to see the extension of UN forces in Cyprus up until 31st July during a vote on 26th January.
