El-Sen has suspended its indefinite strike which was to begin today, following the positive words of Prime Minister Erhürman regarding KIB-TEK.
President of El-Sen Kubilay Özkıraç, stated that as long as the promises are kept, the peace will not be broken, but if promises are not kept, they will put this decision to strike into practice.
In his written statement, Özkıraç said that El-Sen insisted that the main issue they have constantly emphasised was on keeping the country’s most important strategic institution KIB-TEK, viable, moving to a more environmentally friendly production. And that the institution should be taken out of politics and made an autonomous structure, and that the consumers can have reliable and cheaper electricity.
In this context, Özkıraç stated that their stance as a union had been clear from the past to the present.
