Air traffic at Ercan airport will increase during the Bayram period and Sunday, the last day of Bayram, is expected to be the busiest day with 110 flights landing and taking off.
The head of the civil aviation traffic department head said that Ercan airport would be busy this week over of the Bayram period until the weekend. He said on Thursday that there were 80 flights taking off and landing; 70 to 79 on Friday, 80 on Saturday and 110 flights taking off and landing on Sunday.
Due to the increased number of flights being serviced, the heavy traffic could flow over into Monday.
