Ercan airport is preparing itself for a busy period around the bayram holidays.
The airport has been privatised and leased to Tas Yapi a Turkish construction firm for 25 years in partnership with local company Kaner Group.
Deputy director of Tas Yapi, Serhat Ozcelik has said that there is planning for 90 flights and 17,000 passengers over the six day bayram period.
Tas Yapi have now met with all the major airlines, including Pegasus, Atlas Jet and Cyprus Airport Services, to ensure that plans are coordinated for the busy days ahead.
