The Council of Ministers have postponed the air traffic controllers’ strike due to start tomorrow for 60 days. It is entitled to do so under the laws of the constitution.
A ministers’ meeting was held this morning and lasted for two hours. At the end of which, the Minister of the Interior, Nazim Cavusoglu said that the ministers had looked at all the points made by the union but more discussions needed to take place.
The union has just responded by saying that it will comply with this decision to delay the 24 hour warning strike adding that it wished to act within the law.
