Eroglu hopes to offer Cyprob solution for vote early next year

President Dervis Eroglu, speaking at an award ceremony in Gaziantep, Turkey has said that if a mutual agreement can be reached (with the Greek Cypriot administration) they will start negotiations soonest and after reaching a solution model that would end the Cyprus problem, by the first quarter of next year, they would put the solution up for a referendum.

Eroglu joined an award ceremony held for regional and international brands in Gaziantep and said that Greek Cypriot President, Nicos Anastasiades has yet to come to the negotiation table despite the fact that he was elected nine months ago.

The TRNC president added that he will be meeting with Anastasiades today (Monday) and that the TRNC, has given a guarantee to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to continue talks until there is solution on the island.

President Eroglu arrived back in the TRNC yesterday evening.
