Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan who is the first Turkish president to be elected by popular vote, has invited Turkish Cypriot president Derviş Eroğlu to his inauguration ceremony. USA President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as the leaders of all the Turkic states have also been sent invitations, ‘Kibris Postasi’ reports.
In a change from previous oath ceremonies, foreign state presidents have been invited to Erdoğan’s oath ceremony. It is expected that Obama and Putin will send their representatives to attend the ceremony.
