Turkish Cypriot President Dervis Eroglu has said that he had an extremely good and sincere meeting with newly appointed UNSG Special Advisor on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide, despite the fact this was the first time that they had met.
According to Bayrak Television, Eroglu said that he had conveyed the Turkish Cypriot side’s position during their meeting. He also expressed the hope that the negotiations which would resume soon, would produce concrete results.
Eroglu said that he will meet with Eide and Greek Cypriot President Anastasiades at a working dinner on 16th September followed the next day with a leaders’ meeting.
