President Akinci’s spokesman Baris Burcu, has said that teams from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank have been looking at ways to prepare for funding a potential solution to the Cyprus problem.

Burcu was making comments to TAK new agency after a meeting was held between two experts from the World Bank and chief negotiators Ozdil Nami and Andreas Mavroyiannis.

Noting that the two sides were providing the data upon which the financial studies were being based, he said “analyses are being made both separately and jointly by the two sides within the scope of the data given”.
