A feasibility study for the Eastern Mediterranean Pipeline will soon be launched, the Greek Minister for the Environment and Energy Yiannis Maniatis said in Athens.
Maniatis also noted that initial studies show that the pipeline is “technically feasible”, ‘Cyprus Mail’ reports
The pipeline will start from Cyprus’ hydrocarbon reserves to supply EU markets, passing through Greece, the minister said.
He added that natural gas from the Eastern Mediterranean region is a good source for Europe’s security of supply.
