Fight breaks out in Turkish parliament

Once again, a scrap broke out in Turkey’s parliament fuelled by a speech made by CHP Deputy Tanju Ozcan, claiming that Prime Minister Erdogan’s son, Bilal Erdogan had been summoned to give evidence in the ongoing corruption investigation.

The main opposition Republican Party (CHP) Deputy Chairman, Bulent Tezcan was injured during the fight.

A verbal free-for-all over the highly sensitive issue descended into a physical fight.

Tezcan received an injury to the eye when his spectacles were broken during the fracas. The deputy chairman was taken to a nearby hospital.
